Fanout Query
The searches AI runs behind the scenes before it answers.
Before an AI model answers a prompt, it often runs several web searches of its own. These are called fanouts. Fanout Query shows what those searches are, so you can see where AI gets its information about your category.

Headline numbers
Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
Distinct query fanouts | Unique searches the engines ran. One prompt usually triggers several. |
Total occurrences | Every time a fanout ran, including repeats across prompts and platforms. |
Fanouts per prompt | The average number of searches an engine runs to answer one prompt. |
Fanouts naming you | The share of fanouts whose results mention your brand. |
All queries

Every fanout, grouped by topic. Expand a topic to see its queries, their type and how often each one ran. Use Group by Topics and All Type to change the view, and Export CSV to download.
Brand mentioned

The brands engines name inside their searches. A competitor that appears here is one AI already connects with your category.
Common terms

The most frequent word sequences across fanouts. Use these phrases on your own pages so they match what AI searches for.
💡 Fanouts that start with site: show AI checking a specific brand's own website. If competitors get these and you don't, AI isn't treating your site as a source yet.
